ASIA CHORAL GRAND PRIX | ACGP
The Asia Choral Grand Prix (ACGP) was founded in 2018, inspired by the European Grand Prix for Choral Singing. This biennial event is a collaborative effort involving several leading choral festivals in the region, including the Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival (Philippines), Bali International Choir Festival (Indonesia), Singapore International Choral Festival (Singapore), and Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod (Malaysia). Lastly, Korea International Choir Competition (Korea) became a member of the ACGP in 2024. The ACGP aims to elevate the quality of choral performances across Asia by bringing together champions from these partner festivals to compete for the coveted titles.
Each edition of the ACGP rotates among different host countries; first edition held in Philippines in 2019 and the second edition held in Bali(Indonesia) in 2023 and the third edition held in Malaysia in 2024. The ACGP stands as a testament to Asia's growing prominence in global choral music, nurturing not only competition but also camaraderie among choirs and conductors.
